Jacobs Sheep

I use Jacobs wool to create the body of all my needle felted sculptures, so in honor of this lovely breed of sheep I have created some needle felted versions.

 Jacob sheep can have either one set of horns or two, a rather unforgettable sight. I have created a model of both here.

Each Jacob sheep is needle felted entirely from Jacobs wool. The legs and horns are wire wrapped in wool , this gives them strength and allows the horns to stand up and the legs to stand firm and support the body. The horns and hooves are coated in Felters wax to harden them. The eyes are glass and are hand painted.
